American Translation & Interpreting Studies Association Conference IX: Contexts of Translation and Interpreting


March 29–April 1, 2018

University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee’s Translation & Interpreting Studies department is hosting ATISA’s IX Conference in downtown Milwaukee at the SCE Conference Center. Join us as we consider the diverse contexts of translation and interpreting and of language teaching and language learning.

Sherry Simon (Concordia University) and Federico Federici (University College London) are keynote presenters.

We are holding pre-conference workshops begin on Thursday March 29, including “Designing Research Instruments: Survey Design, Statistics, and Applications” led by Christopher D. Mellinger and Thomas A. Hanson; and “Introduction to Research Methods in Translation & Interpreting Studies” led by Claudia V Angelelli and Brian James Baer.

Conference sessions begin on Friday morning and conclude on Saturday afternoon.

Pre-Conference Workshops
Workshops are on Thursday March 29 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and from 1 – 4 p.m. Registration is $50 each (20-person limit)
